One important area of responsibility in the division is university teaching, through which our highly qualified staff pass on specialized knowledge and current scientific findings to students and trainees. Postgraduate training and professional development are also key areas of concern of the division, for example the Master of Science in Cardiorespiratory Physical Therapy.
In addition to facilitating knowledge transfer, we introduce students to age-appropriate and respectful interaction with children, adolescents and their guardians. The Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine teaching unit is part of our division and we are well networked in patient care, research and education with other clinical divisions within the hospital as well as external divisions.
The wide range of professional development opportunities at the Medical University of Graz is directed at a variety of occupational groups in the fields of medicine, science and research, nursing and health services. Most of the professional development courses can be completed while the participant is regularly employed and provide him/her with a valuable additional qualification.
